Jubilee Fountain, St David’s Marist Inanda School

Built to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of St David’s Marist Inanda School, the Jubilee Fountain forms a central focal point of the college quad. The design explores the school’s Catholic heritage by alluding to the crucifix and reflects its ethos of simplicity and humility with clean, simple geometries. The introduction of water, framed with greenery, softens the space and becomes a signature element around which people can gather. The walls of the fountain are at seat height, offering a place of pause and contemplation for passers-by.
